Equimec Plus Tape for Horses
Equimec Plus Tape is an oral all-worm control treatment for horses. This easy-to-administer paste formula protects the equines against a range of worms. It may be suitable for horses of all ages including mares and stallions. It is a low-dose formula that delivers an adequate quantity of the treatment with its convenient trigger applicator.
Equimec Plus treats and controls tapeworms and roundworms (adult and immature). It controls various species of Small Strongyles including benzimidazole-resistant bloodworms and Large Strongyles including adult and arterial larval stages. The paste also controls Intestinal threadworms, Hairworms, Bots, Pinworms, Lungworms and Neck threadworms. This multi-worm treatment controls skin lesions induced by Habronema, summer sores and Neck threadworm. When used as indicated, Equimec Plus Tape reduces the chances of verminous arteritis and colic caused by S. vulgaris
How it works?
Equimec Plus Tape is a high-potency ivermectin and praziquantel formula that dispenses 0.2 ml/kg of Ivermectin and 2.5mg/kg of Praziquantel. The composition treats and controls roundworms and tapeworms and controls bots and summer sores. It eliminates Benzimidazole-resistant bloodworms and other internal worms including Pinworms, Hairworms, Bots, Lungworms and threadworms.
Ingredients:
Ivermectin, Praziquantel
- Equimec Plus Tape should be given by mouth.
- Turn the dosage control knob and coincide it with the horse’s body weight.
- Insert the syringe into the side of the horse's mouth in the gap between the front and back teeth.
- Press the plunger to the required dosage and unload the treatment on the rear of the tongue.
- Immediately raise the horse’s head for sometime after dosing to ensure the complete dose has been swallowed.
Dosing:
- Administer Equimec Plus Tape at the recommended dose level of 1 ml/40kg of bodyweight.
- Each dose of 1 ml/40kg bodyweight delivers 0.2 ml/kg of Ivermectin and 2.5mg/kg of Praziquantel.
- The contents of one syringe treat one horse at 1320 lbs (600kg) body weight.
- Each weight marking on the syringe plunger dispenses 2.5g of paste which is sufficient to treat 100kg of bodyweight.
- Not recommended for horses less than 28 days before slaughter for human consumption.
- Avoid using in any other animals intended for human consumption.
- Treat mares at any stage of pregnancy.
- Treat stallions without adversely affecting their fertility.
- Dispose of the empty syringe by wrapping in paper and putting in the garbage.
- Poisonous if swallowed. Contact a doctor in case of poisoning.
- Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.
